DIT-Dental Intraoral Technology e.K. needed a custom digital portal to make communication between dental practices and the laboratory more efficient. The project focused on creating a secure environment where dentists can log in, submit cases, provide order details, manage appointments, and upload digital files while the laboratory can manage incoming orders from a centralized system.
The challenge
The existing workflow relied heavily on manual communication between dental practices and the laboratory. DIT needed a more structured digital process that could reduce repetitive communication, make case submission easier for dental staff, and provide a reliable way to manage digital orders and files.

Our approach
The project was approached as a custom business portal rather than a standard informational website. The workflow was designed around the daily needs of dentists and dental assistants, with a focus on simple forms, secure accounts, automated processes, and easy access to case information.
- Designed and developed a secure dentist login system with accounts managed by the laboratory instead of public registration.
- Built structured digital order forms with dental-specific fields, tooth selection shortcuts, case information, appointment scheduling, and digital file uploads.
- Implemented automation and usability improvements including appointment integration, QR-based order access, session handling, and draft-saving functionality for longer forms.
